How's everything doing

Things are growing well.  We've had decent rain and LOTS of heat.  Need to finish picking the lettuce before it starts to bolt.

Squash & Zucchini are growing like gangbusters.

Both beds are starting to fill in and green up...

The runner beans ('scarlet runner' and 'Ky wonder') are starting to work their way up the poles.

First Broccoli Harvest!

OOOHHHH, yummy! First harvest of broccoli came in today. Steamed and served with a little butter and lemon juice - what a treat! My younger daughter actually danced in her seat at how good her broccoli was! (Yes, she's 4 and she LOVES broccoli)

This was the second harvest of leaf lettuce. It's been very sweet and tender. I was concerned because the spring has been a hot one already.

Caged the early girl tomatoes today, before they get so big I snap vines doing it. I plan on planting most of the 2nd bed tomorrow.
